Tanah Aina (Aina’s Land) seeks to preserve one of the country’s natural splendors, the irreplaceable treasure of Malaysia - the Malaysian Rainforest. The forest is reputed to be one of the oldest, if not the oldest rainforest in the world, far older than the great Amazon.

Tanah Aina is a collection of four estates totalling 88 acres in Pahang – comprising Tanah Aina Azareena, Tanah Aina Fareena, Tanah Aina Farouq and Tanah Aina Farrah Sooraya – all belonging to Puan Sri Shariffa Sabrina Syed Akil, who is passionate about protecting and conserving Malaysia’s rainforests and natural environment.
Tanah Aina or ‘Aina’s Land’ literally is founded and owned by an admirable lady as an icon of her deep passion, enthusiasm and genuine love towards Mother Nature. Started off as a mere hobby, the land was originally intended to create and protect a new and better environment by preserving as much of the forest as possible and retaining the natural concept of Mother Nature so that future generations will be able to continue to enjoy and experience the fresh clean air while feasting their sights on the simplicities of the natural surroundings.
Imagine waking up in the morning to the crooning of the rooster in the nearby kampung, being greeted by the cool morning breeze and the ruffling of leaves, to the sounds of the playful gentle winds, the soft morning sun on your face as you gorge in deep breaths of clean fresh invigorating air; sounds of the blissful melody of the birds in the skies, of the nearby clear flowing streams. Kapalai Island, Sabah
A few minutes by boat from the island of Sipadan and Mabul but a full world away from it lays the exhilarating Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort, sitting on its sturdy stilts on the shallow sandbanks of the Ligitan Reefs. Planned and built in full style as an airy, comfortable, sunny water village with no land in sught, it boasts a mile-long sandbank of powdery white sand where one can suntan at complete leisure while gazing out to the miles of brilliant turquoise stretching into the horizon offering the purest image of natural serenity.
Dive spots are extremely close and can be reached in just a few minutes by speedboat and some of them, actually, just by swimming from the dive center pier. For those who are ready to venture more and aside from the tiny marvels of the macro life of Kapalai can, in just a few minutes, dive in Sipadan (where big fish and turtles abound) or in Mabul (where silky and muddy bottoms offer different and equally pleasant experience and opportunities to the lovers of "muck diving").
If you've never tried macro diving before, then you're in for a treat - what a place to start! Shore diving at Kapalai is free of charge, as is the wonderful snorkeling, where you can watch the spectacularly colourful mating mandarin fish, right under the resort jetty. It's easy to fall in love with macro diving when it's this simple!
With a combination of sun and water in a unique and serene setting, Kapalai is an ideal destination for diver and non-diver alike seeking a great holiday experience!
Kapalai is similar to Mabul, but there is no actual island, only a large sandbank. The most well known dive site here is Manadrin valley, but several of the other dives sites are well worth a visit.
The attraction at Kapalai Island are Kapalai Mandarin Valley and Kapalai Ray Channel.
Kapalai, Mandarin Valley: Slope to about 20m. Hard corals, then sand. Small underwater mound. This dive site has its name from a dragonet that can be found there and that has a beautiful color like the clothes of the Chinese mandarins. It lives during the day under the spines of sea urchins. Also very interesting were the that I found there. Go out to the small underwater mound - there were several leaf fish there last time. Leaf fish can shed their skin and in such a way adjust to the surrounding reef. I saw one, where some yellow ascidians were growing on his skin right over the eye. There is also a mushroom coral (Heliofungia a.) on the sand with some white anemone pipefish (Siokunichthys n.) living inside.
Kapalai, Ray Channel: This is a sandy channel with the reef on one side. The special fish, you find here and nowhere else in Mabul is the dragonfish (Pegasus). This small animal lives in pairs on sand and feeds on invertebrates. Actually, I have spent half an hour at just one coral block here. There are some leaffish here, a spiny devilfish lives close by, and there is a small baby-anglerfish here. I observed, how it changed from gray to red in only 4 days.
Sipadan Island, Sabah
SIPADAN ISLAND
Sipadan is located some 35km(22miles) south of Semporna, on the southeastern side of Sabah in Borneo. It was first gazetted a bird sanctuary in 1933 and was left pretty much alone until the late 70's when recreational divers rediscovered this new dive eden. Only a handful of the privileged were allowed into this secret garden.
Its geographic location puts the island within the Indo-Pacific basin, the richest marine bio-diversity area in the world. Some experts believe that the Indo-Pacific basin was earth's marine incubator. Nowhere in the world can we find such diversity and researchers are still discovering new species as new places and depths are discovered.
This small tropical island is to be preserved by the Malaysian Government as a World Heritage area.
The natural treasures of this island are its greatest assets. Here, you can still find wild deer in secluded coves. Dugongs, a cousin of the American manatees were known to swim the tides. Now they are hardly ever seen but are still held as one of Semporna's secrets.
The natural glory of Sipadan remains. An arising awareness of the frailty of its natural wonders has rallied the defence of the island.

Sipadan jetty / drop-off: Steep wall with overhangs. If you stay at Sipadan you can jump right off the jetty and there is one of the nicest dive sites right there. You always encounter large schools of fish like mackerels or barracudas or groups of batfish. On one dive here we were lucky to see a large leopard shark.
Turtle Cavern: Some meter to the right of the jetty is also the entrance to a large cave. Without a certificate in cave diving (most dive operators offer cave diving courses) you can't go inside. I have seen photos, and there are skeletons of turtles inside the cave, that haven't found their way out anymore and died there. If you make a nightdive, be cautious not to dive down to the level of the cave (18m), you might enter it by mistake like a dive buddy of mine did. She said it was the scariest dive ever, because she didn't realize she was inside the cave until she already was well in the back of it. Luckily she didn't panic and managed to get out again!
Sipadan South Point: Steep wall, ledge and then drop-off. Divers liked this site a lot, because they had seen a group of hammerhead sharks there at about 55m depth. I went down as well, but actually you have to swim out first to the ledge and then go down, otherwise you don't have enough bottom time.
Sipadan Barracuda point: Wall, then flat valley on about 20m. The dive site has suffered some though, and there are a lot of broken corals because it is the dive site everybody wants to go. Large schools of barracuda consisting of several hundreds animals nearly always hover there, forming huge spirals, which become vortices and form high walls. If you don't make any abrupt movements and keep level in the water you might end up in the middle of a circular wall of huge adult barracudas. An exhilarating feeling! Currents can be strong here at times with down currents possible.
Sipadan island is one of the best place for scuba diving activities. This because of the view of sea is superb beautiful, meaningfully..

Pulau Kapas is an ideal island paradise with white sandy beaches fringed with shady palm trees making it a perfect retreat. Kapas Island is famous for squid catching activities whereby tourist flock to the island from the month of April to September every year for this unique activity. Guest will go squid catching at night time by a local fisherman boat, equipped with the squid catching equipment to catch a squid as big as 20 inches long. The squid caught will be up to the guest for own barbeque and to be cook at the resort restaurant at a minimal charge.
The island is also a host for an annual International event ‘Swimathon Event”, which is held during the month of April every year. The event requires a participant to swim across the ocean from Kapas Island to the mainland which is approximately 6.5 kilometers in distance. This event has been attracting more than 200 participants yearly from all over the world.
Services such as snorkelling around the island is very much standardized and priced accordingly. The standard price of equipment is RM5 per day for mask & tuba and RM5 per day for fins.

Pulau Perhentian

08/03/2012. i went to Pulau Perhentian. i go went there three days and 2 night... This is the first time i go to Perhentian island. I go there with my friends.
Perhentian Island is divided by two islands named Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island) and Pulau Perhentian Besar (Large Perhentian Island). The Malay name Perhentian is translated as “place to stop” and this is exactly what these two islands were for traders travelling between Malaysia and Bangkok in years gone by. These islands are still a gorgeous place to stop and rest today, albeit for tourists disconnecting from the stress and routine of everyday life and not for weary seafaring traders.
We have choose Pulau Perhentian Besar as our destination. Pulau Perhentian is located at Terangganu. To go there we must go by boat at jeti Kuala Besut.
The Perhentian Islands are the ideal place to relax and forget about your cares and most people that visit here laze away their days in the sun.
The activities that we do at there are snorkeling, jungle tracking, and most of time we spend at chalet to relax our mind and walk around the beach...
Some of the popular spots for snorkelling are Shark Point, Teluk Pauh and Tanjung Basi. If you are lucky, a combination of these stops may mean that you see a turtle, some black tip reef sharks and an abundance of colourful coral all in one trip. During the time we go to snorkeling, the guide how bring us to snorkeling, Abang Ed don't give us snorkeling at turtle place because of the sea seen to have rapid waves.

Cameron Highland

Cameron Highlands is the smallest district in the state of Pahang which is located in the north-western corner of the state. One of the wonders of Malaysia, it is the largest and most famous hill resort in the country. This highland paradise still retains much of the charm of an English villages.
The attraction at there are Tea Plantations, Strawberry Farms, Vegetable Farms, Flower Nurseries, Honey Bee Farms, and Butterfly Centers

| Tea Plantations |
No trip to Cameron Highlands is complete without a trip to the tea
plantations. This is one of the main attraction that's got to be in your
"must see" list. You can visit the factories to learn about the tea
making process and you can also sit down and enjoy a cup of tea at the
cafe. The view overlooking the plantations is beautiful and perfect for
the picture album.

| Strawberry Farms |
Strawberry farms can be found almost everywhere in Cameron Highlands. All offer locally grown strawberries and home made strawberry jams and a very cheap price. Some strawberry farms will let you pluck your own strawberries and charge you according to the weight.

| Vegetable Farms |
Vegetable farms are located throughout the highlands and most of the farms allow visitors in. Drive up to Tringkap or Kuala Terla to get a roadside view of the larger vegetable farms .

| Flower Nurseries |
Cameron Highlands is the leading producer of fresh flowers in Malaysia. At the flower gardens and nurseries, be dazzled with the mix of colors and species being grown here. The common flowers grown here are roses, carnations,chrysanthemum, dalia, geranium, fuschia and gladioli.

| Honey Bee Farms |
There are three honey bee farms in the highlands where visitors can get learn about bees and honey production You can also buy various honey products here.
The popular Bee Farms are Ee Feng Gu Honey Bee Farm (near the Kea Farm area) and Highland Honey Bee Farm (along the road to the Boh Tea Plantation)

| Butterfly Centers |
Seeing a butterfly in the open is a rare sight these days. Get a change to see many different species of butterflies which used to be a common sight in the highlands many years ago. A walk through an enclosed area where each species of butterfly is happily floating around in a lush, plant-filled garden is the highlight.
