Santa Cruz Island (Galapagos)



 

SANTA CRUZ ISLAND (GALAPAGOS) 







Santa Cruz Island was the largest privately owned island off the continental United States, but is currently part-owned by the National Park service and the Nature Conservancy. The Island, located off the coast of California.

Santa Cruz Island is famous with wild life such as Golden Eagle, which replaced the native bald eagle, and hunted island foxes to threatened status. Fennel, served as cover for Island Foxes, but as forage for the feral pigs and many more

Santa Cruz is a good place to see many of the animals that make the Galapagos fauna so unique and interesting.
